About Marchi Donut

Established in Feb 2021, Marchi Donut is the first to introduce Mochi Donuts in Winnipeg. It is operated by sisters, Mariah and Marie. "Marchi" is derived from the first 3 letters of their names and the last 3 letters of the word "Mochi".

"Mochi Donuts were first introduced to us during a family trip to Hawaii. We were intrigued by its texture and uniqueness. It was so yummy, we couldn't get enough of it. So we thought, let's try to make these donuts and introduce them to our family and friends back home. And now here we are with our very own storefront, sharing our obsession with the rest of Winnipeg."

Mochi Donuts originated from Japan under the name "pon de ring" from the donut chain Mister Donut. It is a dessert that is a cross between a traditional doughnut and Japanese mochi. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake that is made using glutinous rice flour.

This unique dessert is known for its crunchy exterior and chewy texture. Its bubble ring shape makes it easy to share.

We also recently introduced a new product that we call "Marchisadas". 

Our mission is to be the best mochi donut shop in the city. To be the best, we make sure that we sell quality donuts that both look and taste amazing.
